At aspects of clay we want you to experience all the "Aspects of Clay". Please stop in today to see what we have to offer! Aspects of Clay offers classes for adults and kids of all ages. We offer homeschool classes and weekend classes as well. Learn to throw on the pottery wheel or make tiles. Create a one-of-a-kind mural for your home or learn to sculpt the human head in clay. Try something new this year, take a class in clay! Please see our schedule for upcoming classes, workshops and special events.
Pottery (4 weeks) Learn to throw on the wheel. Create a vase, mug, bowl, lidded jar and anything else you want to make. Learn to trim and glaze your pieces.
Tile (4 weeks) We learn to design, sculpt and pour a plaster mold of your design. Learn techniques for creating multiple tiles. Glaze your tiles on the last day.
Mural (8 weeks) Wow! Create your own tile mural (up to 12 square feet) in this 8 week class. (Larger sizes ok for an additional fee.) Anything goes. We design, sculpt and cut your mural. You will learn how to cut, label and map your mural. Then learn all about glazing techniques. Finally, get step by step instructions on installing your mural. What a blast!
Handbuilding (4 weeks) Learn to coil, slab and extrude in a basic handbuilding class. You will finish by glazing all of your creations
Sculpture (4/8 weeks) learn to sculpt the human head in clay, or learn to create amazing masks! 4 or 8 week option.
Techniques (4 weeks) In this intro class, explore the basic techniques in clay. We will spend one day one the pottery wheel, one day using the extruder and coils and one day using slabs. We will glaze our pieces on the fourth day! A great intro for the beginner.
Pottery (4 weeks) A pottery class for the kids. Kids will learn the basics of wheel throwing. We will create simple projects that your child will throw, trim and glaze in class. Kids love it!!See our ads on Craig's List Albuquerque and Phoenix
